If only we could vaccinate computers
Apr 25th, 2021 by Jesper Kråkhede
A short one this time.
Over the weekend the world passed one billion vaccine doses given against covid. It is impressive, even if the doses are very unevenly spread and most countries still have a long way to go.
It made me think. Wouldn´t it be nice if we could vaccinate our computers the same way? One shot, maybe a booster after a few months, and they would be protected against the known threats.
Then I realised we can. It´s called patching. The difference is that computers don´t complain about sore arms, and still we struggle to get them all done.
Book your computers´ shots too.
